Technical Writer – Ireland
The role focuses on hardware, specifically commercial and consumer telematics devices and related firmware. Experience in wireless, loT, telematics, automotive, or fleet management industries will be most valuable. Candidates without such experience may be considered but with the understanding the role requires flexibility and the ability to learn quickly.
Create technical documentation & communications roadmap including to deliver authoritative documentation in accordance with product release. You will also develop strategy and best practices to write, edit, version control for tech documentation.
Identify documentation gaps, craft and manage publications projects and develop documentation and media, including job aids, FAQS, troubleshooting guides, system manuals, software user guides, API reference guides, online documents, release notes, training guides, and tutorials.
Effectively collaborate with product and development teams to deliver technical documentation needs, translating complex subjects into reference, help and training materials for support & technical end-users. Engage with support teams, marketing, learning & development teams to gather documentation requirements.
The role requires the ability to proactively work with subject matter experts across the organization in gathering information. Be able to effectively engage engineers, product managers, customer support managers and others in crafting communications and documentation for broad internal audiences.
Familiarity with Agile/Kanban is desired.
