End-to-End Remote Staff Management for your Business in Taiwan

Taiwan Expects Fastest Growth in a Decade in 2021 on Export Boom

The IMF has forecasted that the Taiwanese GDP growth will be 4.7% in 2021 before stabilizing at around 3% in 2022. The government aims to boost growth by spending in sectors like healthcare and energy, which should increase the country’s productivity and decrease unemployment rates by giving people more jobs opportunities. The government positions itself as the world’s fourth-largest producer of electronics and one of its largest suppliers. Taiwan benefits from strengthening local consumption, which was spurred by domestic investment opportunities, backed up with an export-oriented economic growth that experts suggest will continue into a resilient future for this East Asian economy. In 2020, Taiwan ranked #15 in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index (Sources: Taiwan News, Asia Fund Managers, and Reuters).
